The fishing has been fantastic over the past few weeks. Up on Spirit Lake rock points in 8-13 feet have been producing walleye and smallmouth on both jigs and plastic as well as slip bobber rigs using leeches  for bait. Trolling crankbaits is also effective both out in the basin and on the top edges of drop-offs in 10-12 feet. Clients have been catching yellow bass on East Okoboji hanging a red worm under a bobber or jigging with a jigger spoon tipped with a red worm or a few wigglers. I haven't fished on West Okoboji for a couple of weeks so no report for there. Water temps on Spirit Lake and East Lake have reached into the 70s.
